Things You'll Need:
- Distilled Water
- Lemons
- Cayenne Pepper
- Raw Organic Honey
- Enema OR
- Sea Salt & Herbal Laxative Tea
-
Step 1
You should first prepare yourself by eating nothing but fruit and vegetables for a day or two. This is to get your body ready for the fast.
-
Step 2
You’ve also got to set aside 10 days to complete this diet. You can do it for a couple days if you like, but to really cleanse yourself you should go all ten days.
-
Step 3
Next you’ll need to gather the ingredients for your lemonade drink: lots of lemons, lots of distilled or spring water, lots of raw organic honey, and lots of cayenne pepper (90,000 Heat Units).
Note: The original Master Cleanse diet calls for Grade B maple syrup instead of honey, but raw organic honey hasn’t been cooked and therefore has more nutrients. -
Step 4
Now you’ll need to figure out how much you’ll need to make. It is suggested you drink between 6 and 10 8-ounce glasses per day.
Each glass should consist of 8 ounces of distilled room temperature water, juice from half a lemon, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 1/10 teaspoon of cayenne (more if you can handle it). -
Step 5
An easier way is to prepare 3 24-ounce bottles, for the equivalent of 9 8-ounce glasses per day.
This will be your breakfast lunch and dinner for ten days. When ever you feel hungry just drink more lemonade. -
Step 6
For the second part of the cleanse you have two options. You can either do a daily enema or a daily “salt water flush.”
Either way, it should be done each morning and is necessary if you really want to flush yourself of toxins. -
Step 7
The enema is pretty straight forward but the salt water flush might take a little explaining.
Each morning you will prepare a quart of room temperature water with a tablespoon of sea salt. Drink the entire quart and wait for it to flush through your system. It should take about a half an hour.
If you decide to go this route you should drink a cup of herbal laxative tea each evening before bed to help with the morning flush. -
Step 8
When you reach your goal you should celebrate with a fruit smoothie or some vegetable soup.
Either one will fill you right up and won’t shock your digestive system either.
You can gradually return to your old eating habits, but then again you might not want to.
