Avoid Feeding Your Cat The Wrong Food

If you are a cat owner, I am sure you love your cat or cats very much. The last thing you want to be doing is to be feeding your cat the wrong food that can be very dangerous to you cat's health. It is most important to keep in mind that cats are carnivores. They should be fed a meat based diet, that will keep them healthy for many years. Fruits and vegetables that are important for healthy humans may not be necessarily good for your cat, in fact it could kill them.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First, human physiology is designed so that we can digest fruits, vegetable and meat because we are omnivores. Cats are obligate carnivores and therefore, their digestive tract is suited to digest raw meat. They have issues digesting fruits, vegetables and processed carbohydrates. If you feed them the wrong type of food products, it can result in you cat getting diabetes and irritable bowel disease.

  2. Step 2

Second, commercial cat food companies, sell large amounts of cheaply produced dried cat food that contains fruits, vegetables and processed carbohydrates, that lead you to think this is good for your cat.

  3. Step 3

Next, your cat can be a cannibal and you are not aware of it. Many brands contain the cascaras of dead dogs and cats. Some manufactures use the 4D's in their production dead, dying, diseased and disabled animals. You will find many of these products listed on the bag as meat meal, animal digest, animal by- products or or meat by-products.

  4. Step 4

Lastly, many cat food companies use many harmful preservatives to extend the shelf life of their products. These preservatives can lead to kidney and liver failure in cats. I hope you now understand why it is so very important to choose wisely when purchasing food for your cat and only select the kind of food that is healthy and will ensure a healthy long life for your cat.
