Step 1
In order to become a vampire in the Sims 2, you will need the expansion pack Night Life in order to even encounter a NPC Vampire Sims.

Step 2
The easiest way to find a vampire would be to go to a club or restaurant at night. You will only see vampire Sims at night.
They randomly appear on town lots at night. They are easy to spot because their skin is pale white, and they walk around carrying their arm covering their faces. -
Step 3
When you spot the vampire you immediately want to greet him or her because they tend to appear, and vanish nearly as quickly as they arrived.
They may not like you, but so long as you get them to interact with you, they will be stored in your Sims acquaintances memory bank, making it easy to contact them later on at home. -
Step 4
If the vampire leaves the town lot, go back to your sims house, and call them on the telephone/cell phone. Invite them over.
Vampire Sims usually will deny an invitation at first, so you may want to build up a relationship with them by calling and chatting with them on the phone a few times before they accept the invite. -
Step 5
When the vampire accepts the invite, make sure it is night time, otherwise they will come to your lot and then flee from daylight. Daylight can kill a vampire sim!

Step 6
If the time is night, and the vampire has accepted your invite, when they arrive put in every effort to talk with them, hang out, make jokes etc. Once the relationship is built, and the vampire is best friends with your sim, he or she will likely bite your sim on the neck, turning him/her into a vampire.

Step 7
Taking care of a vampire sim is difficult work, because you cannot allow them out at daylight hours, as they will fry up.
You will also need to buy a coffin for your Sim to sleep in during the day.
