Make a banner from paper squares. Cut sheets colored construction paper in half lengthwise and in half again crosswise. Use a hole punch to put holes in two upper corners of the squares. Stencil the letters "H.A.P.P.Y. R.E.T.I.R.E.M.E.N.T." onto the squares with bright white craft paint and a thick brush. Allow the paint to dry and string the letters onto a length of ribbon. Hang over the doorway or on the wall.

Blow up a dozen festive colored balloons and tie off with 4 and 5 foot lengths of ribbon. Cut star shapes out of bright yellow construction paper. Glue two paper stars at a time back to back on the ribbon at random intervals. Tie a bunch three balloons together and tape in each corner of the room with the ribbons and stars hanging down in a festive cascade.

Mark 6 inch increments on bamboo poles and paint the alternate sections with white and black craft paint. Allow to dry completely. Cut 9 in by 12 inch red and yellow felt sheets diagonally into two triangles each. Glue the short edge of each triangle to the top of each pole. Cover the gift table with a grass-green cloth and push it against a wall. Secure the poles against the wall behind the table to create a golf course visual decoration.
