Instructions

    • 1

Hold the can of compressed air up-side-down, and spray the dented area until it frosts over. Make certain the entire dent or ding is covered with a thin layer of frost.

    • 2

Warm the area immediately with a hand-held hair dryer. The change in temperature should cause the metal to "pop" out and the dent or ding to virtually vanish.

    • 3

Repeat the process if the entire dent or ding has not been removed. Seldom will it take more than two tries to remove a dent or a ding in a sheet metal surface.

    • 4

Wash the surface, and sand it lightly with 0000-grit steel wool, if necessary.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be careful not to spray the compressed air on your fingers or other exposed skin as it can freeze skin in a matter of moments. If you wish, wear gloves when spraying the dent.
