The perfect solution is a name bracelet. This is a project that can be designed for any age. Instructions

    • 1

Choose your beads and decide on the style that you would like to have. Experiment with different kinds of colors, textures and materials. You are not limited to just shiny plastic anymore

    • 2

Choose the letters for your name and work on your layout. Choose alphabet beads that flow with the rest of your pattern. All of your choices need to be of a matching style.

    • 3

Measure your wrist with the string. Double the string to give it added strength. Add an additional 3 to 4 inches to your final measurement for tying to the clasp.

    • 4

Tie the clasp on one end. Cut the excess or tuck it under the first beads.

    • 5

Lay out your bead pattern next to your string. This will save you time in the beginning because it is easier to make changes and adjustments now. This also helps you make sure that your name is centered.

    • 6

Place your beads on your string in the order of your pattern.

    • 7

Tie off to the other end of the clasp when you are done beading. Cut the excess short, or tuck it under some beads.

Tips & Warnings

  • Short names can be embellished with beads in between the letters. Names with an odd number of letters can be evened out by adding a symbol bead such as a heart or a star.
