How to Apply Iron-On Transfers

Iron-on transfers haven't gone out of style yet! They are very cute on kid, adult and even pet clothing. This article will explain how to get the perfect application.

Things You'll Need

• Ironing board Iron Piece of clothing or fabric Iron-on transfer

Instructions

1. Set up your ironing board and turn on your iron to a medium high setting. Allow the iron to heat up before use.

2. Place your clean clothing or fabric on the ironing board, with the section you want the iron-on to appear on facing up.

3. Gently place the iron-on transfer onto the fabric and position it correctly, making sure it is straight and even. Be sure to place the iron-on transfer right side down so it will make contact with the fabric.

4. Gently pick up your iron and press down on the iron-on transfer. Pick it up and press it down again over the press on. You can also smooth over the iron-on with the hot iron, making sure not to leave it on too long.

5. Allow the fabric to cool before testing a small section. To test a section, gently pull up on a corner to see if the application stuck to the fabric. If not, repeat the process.
