A daybed creates versatility within a bedroom. It provides a place to comfortably sit during the day and transforms into a bed at night.
If you are decorating on a budget, you do not need to spend extra money on a daybed frame. By simply using the twin frame that you already have and a few throw pillows, you can create your own daybed in a matter of minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Twin bed (frame and mattress set)
  • Two large bolster pillows
  • Accessory throw pillows
  • Coordinating bed skirt
  1. Step 1

Position the twin bed in a corner where the back and one end are against the wall.

  2. Step 2

Position the bed skirt so that all exposed sides of the daybed are covered.

  3. Step 3

Add bolster pillows. Bolster pillows are the large, oversize cushions that make up the back of chairs and sofas. Depending on their size, you will need to place two or three cushions to form the back of the daybed.

  4. Step 4

Add throw pillows. Throw pillows provide an added decorative touch to a seat. By placing the throw pillows around the daybed, you will create a more sofa-like setting.

Tips & Warnings
  • To create depth, use a variety of sizes and shapes of throw pillows.
