Instructions

1. Click on the Start button, then turn off the computer. Either choose reboot and allow Windows to take care of the rest for you, or shut down, wait a few seconds after it's off and turn the thing back on. The best way to reboot a Windows-based PC is to use Windows to do it for you.

2. Press the buttons CNTL, ALT and DEL simultaneously if the start button or the shut down buttons don't respond. This will open the task manager. Select the Shut Down menu, then either reboot or shut down completely.

The battery is located on the underside of the computer, and will require you disengaging the lock, then pushing the release switch, both of which should be marked. 5. Leave your computer off for a full minute before rebooting. This will allow the RAM to clear, thus ensuring you a cleaner reboot.
