1
Buy Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Wet the Magic Eraser and rub on the burnt and dirty parts of your flat top.
-
2
Get a spray oven cleaner that doesn't contain harsh fumes (these should indicate "fume-free" or "odor-free" on the label). Spray it over the burners. Turn the burners on for about 5 minutes. Turn the burners off and wait until they are cool enough for you to clean them. Wipe away the residue and dirt with a rag or wash cloth.

3
Spray the top of your stove with Easy Off Glass Top Cleaner. Let the spray sit for 5 to 10 minutes and then wipe clean. You may want to wipe the stove top again with just a wet rag to make sure all of the glass cleaner is off.

4
Squirt some Soft Scrub with Bleach on a dish scrubber (not an S.O.S. pad). Rub in circles over the dirt and burnt spots. Wipe clean with a wet dish cloth.

5
Wrap a dish cloth around the end of a metal spatula. Make sure the dish cloth contains water and dish soap. Use it to scrape off any burnt food. Then clean the stove top with dish soap, water and a rag.

Tips & Warnings
You can buy special cleaners made for flat stove tops, but they are expensive. The methods above work just as well and don't hurt the pocketbook.
Don't use a regular razor to remove the stuck-on foods unless it is a special razor that came with the stove.
