Things You'll Need:
- Washing machine
- Bucket
- Black clothes dye
- Vinegar
-
Step 1
Turn your black jeans inside out before putting them in the washing machine.
-
Step 2
Soak your black jeans in a bucket of water and 1 cup of vinegar. The vinegar sets the color in the jeans.
-
Step 3
Wash your black jeans with other black clothing items.
-
Step 4
Set the wash and rinse cycles both to cold water. Cold water keeps the fabric color from bleeding.
-
Step 5
Add a tablespoon of black fabric dye to a bucket of cold water. Soak your black jeans in the dye mixture. Let them dry and then wash them in cold water. Occasionally adding color to your black jeans will keep them looking like new.
