Things You'll Need:
- Plastic scraper or credit card
- Razor blade
- Water
- Detergent
-
Step 1
Wet a piece of plastic wrap and place it over the sticker for several minutes. The sticker should slide off once the plastic wrap is removed.
-
Step 2
Cover the sticker with a light oil such as baby oil, mineral oil or vegetable oil. Let it set overnight before trying to remove it with a credit card or razor blade (make sure you hold the blade at an angle so you don't scratch the surface of the bottle). For better results, try warming the oil in the microwave before applying.
-
Step 3
Using a plastic scraper or edge of a credit card, scrape gently to remove the sticker. You may also use a razor blade, if desired. Make sure you hold the blade at an angle so you don't scratch the surface of the bottle.
-
Step 4
Soak the bottles in hot water until sticker comes off.
-
Step 5
Spray the sticker with a lubricating spray such as WD40. Let set for a few minutes.
-
Step 6
Apply a solvent such as nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone to the sticker and let set for a few minutes (see Resources below).
-
Step 7
Use less conventional methods that are rumored to work, such as applying peanut butter, cola, heated vinegar or antibacterial hand gel. Apply only one at at a time.
