If you've ever had a blemish, freckle, or dark spot on your skin then you've probably wondered about bleaching and how safe it is for your skin. Many over-the-counter skin bleachers contain harsh chemicals. Some skin bleachers have been found to contain high levels of steroids, which can lead to infertility and other health problems. However, there are natural treatments that are safe and chemical free, but which still will lighten your skin. It takes about a month before you will see a difference using any of these natural treatments.

  • 2 lemons
  • 2 oranges
  • Raw milk
  • 2 potatoes
  • Honey
  • Lemon juice
  • Cucumber
  • Gram flour
  • Citrus juice
  • Blender or food processor

Instructions

  1. Orange Peels and Raw Milk Paste

      Peel an orange. Eat the fruit or save it for another use.

      Set the the orange peel in a sunny spot to dry out.

      When the orange peels have dried completely, grind them up in a blender or food processor.

      Add raw milk to the ground up orange peels until it has the consistency of a paste.

      Apply the orange peel and raw milk mixture to your face.

      Leave the paste on your face until it dries and then wash it off with lukewarm water. This can be done daily if you so choose.

    Raw Potato, Honey and Lemon Juice Mix

      Peel and grate one or two small potatoes.

      Place the potato in the center of a 5 inch by 5 inch square of unbleached muslin or other cotton cloth.

      Leaving the muslin or cotton cloth open, add two or three drops of lemon juice to the grated potatoes.

      Leaving the muslin or cotton cloth open, add a few drops of honey to the grated potatoes and lemon juice.

      Close the cloth by bringing all the corners to the top and holding them between your fingers, and then rub the cloth with the mixture wrapped inside all over your face. Leave this juice from the mixture on your skin for twenty minutes before rinsing it off. You can do this twice weekly to help bleach your skin. Potatoes have a natural bleaching agent in them that works wonders for the skin.

    Cucumber, Lemon, Potato, Gram Flour and Citrus Juice Paste

      Squeeze the juice from two lemons into your blender or food processor.

      Cut two slices from the cucumber leaving the skin on, and add it to the lemon juice in your blender.

      Add 4 tbsp. gram flour to the mixture.

      Add the juice from one orange or lime to the mixture.

      Using your blender or food processor blend all the ingredients together until you have a thick paste.

      Add 5 tbsp. of salt and sugar to the mixture. This is will help preserve the mixture for a while.

      Add the mixture to a container with a tightly closed lid and then shake it up.

      Apply one tablespoon of this paste to your face and neck.

      Let the paste dry on your face. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to dry completely.

      Rinse the paste off with luke warm water. Repeat every day for a month to see a dramatic improvement in your skin.

Tips & Warnings

  • Apply the cucumber, lemon, potato, gram flour and citrus juice paste to your body and face and leave it on over night to achieve faster results. Always wash your face as you normally would before applying any of these recipes to your skin or body.

  • Keep the pastes away from the areas close to your eyes. They have citric acid in them and it could burn your eyes badly. Don't use any of these recipes more than once a day because of the citric acid in them they can damage your skin. Avoid applying any of these mixture to broken, dry, or damaged skin, or areas of tender skin such as the groin area.
