Contact your area hospital. If you already work in the health care profession, you may be entitled to free CPR training and certification. Many area hospitals offer the classes and certification testing free-of-charge to medical professionals. Additionally, it may offer low cost courses to the general public.

Check with your public library. Often in alliance with area fire and police departments, public libraries also offer CPR certification programs to the general public at no charge or for a nominal fee. You can contact fire and police departments directly.

Contact the HR department at your workplace. Human Resource departments, particularly in large companies, often work with area health organizations to keep employees safe and healthy. In addition to CPR training and continuing education that applies to your specific job, they may also sponsor exercise classes, financial planning classes and more.

Go to the gym. If you already work out at an area gym, you may already be privy to the plethora of classes offered that go above and beyond spin and Pilates. If your gym does not have a bulletin board where classes are posted, ask the fitness director about CPR courses and whether the club offers them at a discount.

5
Call the Red Cross and the American Heart Association. Both organizations are heart-healthy proponents and offer CPR certification classes.
