Instructions

    • 1

Set up a table or counter as your concession stand. Place a tablecloth over the table. Red is a fun color to use.

    • 2

Set out small popcorn paper bags or buckets. These are usually avaiable at most local video rental stores. Make popcorn and keep in a large bowl or tub; fill the small popcorn bags right before the guest arrive.

    • 3

Fill a large galvanized or plastic bucket with ice. Place the sodas in the ice to keep cold. For added fun buy bottled sodas instead of cans.

    • 4

Purchase large boxes of movie style candies. These can usually be found at a local dollar store or retail store. Have a variety available for your guests to choose from. To display them easier use a clear plastic mail holder available at local office supply stores. Stand the boxes of candy up in the holder and place on the table or counter.

    • 5

Hang up movie posters. Look for free movie posters at your local video rental store. Or purchase them at retail stores.

    • 6

Pick out the movie or movies you will play. Choose movie(s) based on the average age of your audience. Arrange the seating for the room you will be watching the movies in and the number of guests you will have. For younger ages bean bags are fun to use. For older groups have enough seating so no one is sitting on the floor.

    • 7

Place napkins in a holder. Put straws in a cup to hold. Have cups available too for those that don't want to drink out of a bottle.

    • 8

Add fun items to the table such as 3-D glasses and movies tickets scattered across the table for decoration.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wrte movie quotes on large index cards, place them randomly on the table and let your guest try to guess which movie the quote came from.
