How to Build a Tie Rack
Ties last longer and look better if they are not tangled in knots in a dresser drawer. Matching your tie to your shirt and jacket is much easier when all your choices are readily at hand. Silk ties in particular wear much better if they are kept on a tie rack. Any wrinkles that may have gotten into them during cleaning would fall out naturally as the tie dries. Does this Spark an idea?

Drill 1/8-inch pilot holes for all the screws, one for each peg you need for your tie rack. Ties should hang about 2 inches apart. Countersink the holes on the back side of the tie rack. Screw the pegs into place from the back of the rack, being careful not to split them. If they split, try using thicker pegs.
