    • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • 2 tsp. garlic powder
    • 1½ to 2 cups barbecue sauce

        Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

        Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper and place them in a baking dish.

        Sprinkle garlic powder over the chicken.

        Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

        Remove the baking dish from the oven. Drain any fat that may have accumulated.

        Pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken, making sure the sauce evenly covers every piece of chicken.

        Place the baking dish back in the oven, and bake uncovered an additional 30 minutes.

    Tips & Warnings

    • After the chicken bakes for 45 minutes, you can remove the skin if you wish.

    • If you use boneless chicken breasts, cut the initial baking time in half.
