How to Draw Baby Tweety Bird
Almost anyone who is interested in cartoons and comics knows Tweety Bird of Looney Tunes' fame. The smiling face and giant eyes are Tweety's trademark features. Baby Tweety Bird, though, has some elements that make her unique. If you can execute simple shapes like an oval, you will be able to draw a great picture of Baby Tweety Bird.

1
Look at your reference pictures (see Resources below) and think of the shapes that make up Baby Tweety Bird. The character is composed of a series of oval shapes, some more round like the head, and some oblong (longer ovals), like the body and arms and legs. Take note of proportion as well, because Baby Tweety Bird's head is as big as the rest of her body.
-
2
Practice drawing ovals in the various shapes found in Baby Tweety Bird. Do not worry about how your drawing comes out in this practice step. It's okay to make mistakes. Draw a big, almost round oval for the head. Two smaller, longer ovals, horizontally oriented, can be drawn for the cheeks. Try drawing her arms, legs, feet, hands and eyes as various oval shapes. Practice the shapes until you like how they look. Try putting them together to see how to size each element in relationship to the other parts.

3
Select a fresh sheet of drawing paper to draw Baby Tweety Bird using your ovals of various shapes. You can erase and redraw parts until you like the overall effect. Remember that the baby version of the character has a squishier face and rounder cheeks than the original.

4
Examine the overall shape of the drawing, checking proportion. Pencil in details, such as eyeballs, tail, the smiling beak, eyelashes, eyebrows, wings, toes (two chubby ones) and fingers, each time looking at your reference art to get the features right. Do not forget the key feature of three small feathers atop Baby Tweety Bird's forehead.

5
Use black ink to go over the pencil lines. Some artists prefer a dip pen while others use a #1 or #2 watercolor brush. Use India ink for a finished cartoon look. When the ink is dry, erase the remaining pencil lines. You may also add color using watercolor, crayons, markers or colored pencils.
