Crockpot Chicken Parmesan Recipe

You don't have to be Italian for chicken Parmesan to be one of your major comfort foods. It's simple to make with just a few ingredients. Best yet, now you can throw the ingredients in the crockpot (slow cooker) in the morning before you head off to work. After preparing the penne pasta, you'll have a complete dinner.   • 6 half chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
  • 26 oz. Italian Sausage Classico Pasta Sauce
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 4 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 16 oz. package penne pasta (or your favorite type of pasta)

Instructions

      Place the chicken breasts evenly at the bottom of the crockpot.

      Pour the Classico pasta sauce over the top of the chicken.

      Set the crockpot on high for six hours.

      Prepare the penne pasta according to package directions, as the chicken is almost done.

      While the pasta is cooking, remove the chicken from the crockpot. Pour the sauce into a bowl and then return the chicken to the crockpot.

      Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the chicken and follow it with the mozzarella cheese. Replace the lid until the cheese is melted.

      Drain and rinse the pasta.

      Place a portion of cooked penne pasta in each dish.

      Pour sauce over the pasta and place a chicken breast on top of the sauce.
