Things You'll Need:
- Hanging suit bag/
- Two pieces of plastic
- Steamer/iron
- Hanger
-
Step 1
Be sure that your suit it completely wrinkle free prior to packing it. Though you may have a few wrinkles when you take it out, it won't be as bad as if it were never pressed or steamed out.
-
Step 2
Choose the right bag. Make sure you have a back or suitcase that has enough room to store your suit without having to ball it up or squash it in between shoes or food items. Your best bet is to have a hanging suit bag to carry into the gym with you. This way, your suit is completely alone and protected from spills, wrinkles and other mishaps.
-
Step 3
Place a layer of plastic over top of the suit so that it is fully protected from dirt from shoes and other things that may stain. After this layer of plastic, other things may be able to go on top of your suit without worry.
-
Step 4
Pack a steamer. You may want to use an iron, but portable steamers are far more convenient and cool down faster. Simply hang your suit up on a handle, pole or whatever you can find in the locker room. Quickly drag the steamer over any existing wrinkles, and you are ready to go. Be sure that you wait until you are ready to steam your suit to put water into the steamer. Pour the water out when you are finished to prevent spilling in your bag.
-
Step 5
Bring a hanger just in case there is a secure place to hang your suit when you arrive at the gym. It is better to hang your suit for the duration of your visit to the gym than have it packed in a bag. However, if you do not have a safe, secure place to keep your suit without damaging it, packed in a bag will do just fine!
