Having a hot-glue gun available when creating projects that require a strong, safe adhesive that seals instantly and securely is indispensable. Hot glue is useful to attach embellishments such as buttons, beads and ribbons. The crafter's ability to create a work of art or a novel gift is enhanced by such a tool, and there are few limitations on what can be done. Further, it makes the crafter's job more enjoyable and speedy.

    Create a three-dimensional greeting card by hot-gluing a variety of papers and embellishments. These can include buttons, beads, images, faux flowers and yarn. Start with flat items, then build up on top in an interesting arrangements. Attach the smallest embellishments at the end. Hot-glue a border of frilly yarn. This project is excellent for both children and adults. It allows for unlimited artistic ability to create cards that will be appreciated by the recipient because it was made by hand.

    Turn a plain journal into a work of art or a treasured gift by hot-gluing themed images, papers and embellishments. Themes can range from gardening, coffee and tea lovers, travel or wedding keepsakes. Build up the journal design from large, flat pieces to small beads or buttons.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is suggested to keep a craft box for leftover and odd pieces of ribbons, decorations, trims, buttons, images and mat board pieces.
