Address labels make it easy to label several envelopes at once. If you have messy writing, printed personalized address labels save the fuss of having to write neatly or worrying that someone else won't be able to read the envelope. They are easy to make and very inexpensive.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Printer
  • Word processing program
  • Label sheets
  1. Step 1

Open your word processing program and find the "address labels" in the Tools section. There are several different kinds of labels. Read the container of the labels you purchased, and select the corresponding size.

  2. Step 2

Choose a font style you like. Decide if you want the font to be bold, regular or italic, and make the correct selection in the font settings. Find a small graphic or emblem that you would like to use for the address labels. If you don't want any graphics, then skip ahead to the next step. Copy and paste the graphic into one address label square on the left-hand side. Adjust the size as needed.

  3. Step 3

Type your full name on the top line, or whatever name it is you would like to appear on your address label. Press "Enter," and move down a line. Type your street address. On the next line, type the city, state and zip code. Save the file. Preview the label to see if you are satisfied with it. If not, make corrections as necessary.

  4. Step 4

Place the labels in your printer. Go to the print tool selection, and select how many labels you would like. You can choose to print just one label or a full page.

Tips & Warnings
  • Print several labels at once so you have them for future use.
  • Don't make the font too small or it will be difficult to read.
