  • Baking soda

Instructions

  1. To Clean With Baking Soda

      Add ¼ cup baking soda to a pot of boiling water big enough to fit the drip pans into.

      Boil the drip pans for 15 minutes and remove from the pot carefully as they will be extremely hot.

      Scrub any residual grease away with a clean cloth. It should be loosened by the boiling and very easy to remove.

    To Clean With Cream of Tartar

      Create a paste with equal parts cream of tartar and water.

      Using a clean cloth or sponge, apply the paste to the drip pans and allow them to sit overnight.

      Rinse the pans in warm soapy water and dry with a soft dry cloth.

    To Clean With Alka-Seltzer

      Drop six tablets of Alka-Seltzer into a basin of warm water.

      Place the drip pans into the water and allow them to soak for one hour.

      Take the drip pans out and scrub with a damp cloth.

Tips & Warnings

  • Oven cleaner, Scrubbing Bubbles and vinegar have also proven to be quite useful in cleaning drip pans. To help avoid further tough stains in the future, wrap the drip pans in aluminum foil before placing them back on the stove.
