  • Dish soap
  • Baking soda
  • Borax
  • Laundry soap powder
  • Ammonia
  • Lime
  • Club soda

Instructions

    • 1

      Mix 2 tablespoons of dish soap with 2 cups of warm water and scrub the cabinet with a clean cloth, following the grain of the wood. Rinse the area clean with a sponge, and dry it with a clean towel.

      Sprinkle baking soda onto a clean damp cloth and scrub the cabinet. Rinse with a clean sponge, and dry the area with a clean dry towel.

      Mix half a cup of borax, two teaspoons laundry soap powder, one tablespoon of ammonia and warm water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture onto the cabinets and wipe them clean.

      Mix a combination of equal parts lime and club soda to wipe the cabinets free of grease, using a soft clean cloth. Dry with a soft towel.

      Mix vinegar and water and clean the cabinets, using a sponge or soft clean cloth. If the grease won't come off, use only vinegar.

Tips & Warnings

  • Greased Lightening, Orange Glo, Simple Green, and Dawn dish soap are all effective in removing tough grease stains. Read and follow the manufacturer's instructions closely.

  • Avoid the use of wool, scrub brushes, and anything abrasive that may damage the cabinets. Only use soft non-abrasive towels and cloths or sponges.
