Use Ionic Hot Rollers

Ionic hot rollers harness the power of ions to heat up quickly while posing minimal risk to the health of hair. The rollers change color when they reach the proper temperature for use, making the entire heating process much more practical to the average user. Ionic hot rollers are also the least damaging to hair thanks to the state-of-the-art ionic technology used to make them. They also heat up quickly and stay hot longer than non-ionic rollers.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ionic hot rollers
  • Bobby pins or hair clips
  • Hairspray
  1. Step 1

Wash hair and towel dry or blow dry to remove excess moisture. Put the rollers to be heated while you prepare your hair.

  2. Step 2

Brush hair to remove any tangles. If you have long hair, separate your hair into three sections (top, middle, bottom) and secure them with hair clips to make the use of the ionic hot rollers easier.

  3. Step 3

Take a 1-inch wide strand of hair and spritz it gently with hairspray. Make sure hair is still slightly damp.

  4. Step 4

Starting from the tip of the hair, roll the ionic hot roller toward your scalp. Secure it with a bobby pin to keep the hot roller in place.

  5. Step 5

Continue step 4 until all of your hair is rolled up with the ionic hot rollers. Leave the hot rollers in your hair until they have cooled off completely. Keep the rollers in your hair for at least ten more minutes after they've cooled off. For ionic hot rollers, the best results come if you leave them in your hair for at least 30 minutes in total.

  6. Step 6

Gently remove the ionic hot rollers one by one. Flip your hair upside down to loosen the curls. Use your fingers to separate and style the curls. Spritz your entire head of hair lightly with hairspray.

Tips & Warnings
  • Substitute styling mousse for hairspray if you want a gentler hold and softer locks.
  • Do not brush your curls after removing the ionic hot rollers as this will lead to frizzy hair.
