How to Make a Snow Cone Mix
Snow cones are so much fun to eat and kids really love them on a hot summer's day. Children can make their own snow cones with a Snoopy Snow Cone Maker. The only problem is that this product only comes with one bottle of snow cone mix. If you want more syrup for your snow cone, you have to make some yourself. It is very easy to do and doesn't even cost that much. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Choose your favorite flavor of Kool-Aid. You can buy it at any supermarket for about $1. Make sure you buy the Kool-Aid packets that are not sweetened.
-
2
Measure out 3/4 cup of water and pour it in a pot. Bring the water to a boil and then immediately remove from the heat.
-
-
3
Pour the water into a large bowl.
-
4
Add the Kool-Aid packet to the pot and then pour in 1 cup of sugar.
-
5
Mix the ingredients together with a wooden spoon until all of the sugar is dissolved.
-
6
Set the bowl in to the refrigerator until it is cool. If you pour it on the snow cone now, it will melt the ice. You need to cool it off first.
-
7
Make your snow cone. This can be done in a Snoopy Snow Cone Maker, by placing ice in a zippered plastic bag and crushing it with a hammer, or by grating some ice with a grater. Place the crushed ice in a paper cup.
-
8
Pour the snow cone syrup in a cleaned-out salad dressing bottle for easy use. Squirt the syrup over the snow cone and serve.

Tips & Warnings
Heat the 3/4 cup of water up in the microwave instead of getting out a pot and boiling water. You can use store brand drink mixes if you don't want to purchase Kool-Aid.
If you don't heat up your water, you will not be able to get the sugar to dissolve.
