How to Make a Camp oven
Have you ever been camping, and wanted to make something within an oven, but lacked the gas hookup or electrical socket? now you can cook in the woods with this easy to make, easy to use camp oven! Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Large cardboard box
- box of wide aluminum foil
- 2 coat hangers
- 1 aluminum pie plate
- 1 aluminum hotel pan (also called a Sterno pan)
- charcoal
- duct tape

Take the large box and remove two of the flaps at the top, the remaining two will be your doors for the oven, set aside the two you removed. Cover inside with aluminum foil completely, leave no spot uncovered and try to keep it as one long continuous sheet, multiple layers are okay and suggested, be sure to attach using duct tape.

Next, feed wire hangers (after straightening out) through a spot about half way up the middle of the box. As you feed the wire through, feed it into the two flaps you removed, once the wire is all the way through, cover the two new flaps with aluminum foil and position so that they leave a space in the center of the oven.

Heat up charcoal till completely white, whatever temperature the recipe calls for, use one charcoal briquette for every 25 degrees required.

Arrange food on hotel pan and be sure to cover tightly will aluminum foil before putting inside of oven, as without a lid, the food will develop a smoky taste. Cook to required time. Enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure when using duct tape to only have it on the underside of the aluminum foil, and never on the outermost layer inside the oven.
