This is a simple recipe and one that children and adults both like. It's a quick dish to take to a potluck or to keep in the refrigerator for a healthy snack.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shredded broccoli slaw mix
  • canola oil
  • cider vinegar
  • sunflower seeds
  • sugar
  • ramen noodles
  • green onions
  1. Step 1

    You can either buy a shredded broccoli slaw mix or shred your own broccoli for the main ingredient.

  2. Step 2

    Mix the following:


    1/3 c. cider vinegar
    1/3 c. sugar (less if you desire it)
    1/4 c. Canola oil

    Let the sugar melt into the mixture. To speed things along you can warm it in microwave for a very short period of time. I prefer to let it mix naturally.

  3. Step 3

    Next, take a rolling pin and crush the ramen noodles. Remove the seasoning pack. You won't need it.

  4. Step 4

    Add the broccoli slaw mix or shredded broccoli, chopped green onions, ramen noodles and 1 cup of sunflower seeds or cashew nuts into the oil and vinegar mixture. Toss all the ingredients together well and refrigerate 2 hours before serving.
