Try http://www.criminalsearches.com. It's a free website that allows you to search by name. I have used this website and found out some good information. The charges are categorized. You can also search for sex offenders.

Believe it or not, Myspace.com is a great website to use. Do a search by name, email, school, or location. I have used this and found out that a man was lying about his age. Myspace.com allows people to express themselves through customized web pages. People can add music, pictures, and narratives about any and everything. It's interesting to see what people want to share with cyberspace. You should check it out when screening new friends and especially your children's friends.
Step 3

Google.com is a common and huge search engine. Search the web and news with the person in question' s name. Placing the name in quotation marks will specify the search. Try it, you may find articles and web sites with everything from high school football statistics to an article about your new friend being the 'Wyoming axe murderer'... you never know. I always search with people's email address. This is another way to find out if the person has a social networking site like Twitter, Facebook, or Myspace.com

Switchboard.com is also great. You can do reverse phone number look-ups. Simply type in the telephone number and see who it is registered to. If you know the person's address try using it in a search.
