Installing a wreath on vinyl siding is easy & will not damage the siding.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Assuming there is a gutter running along the eaves of the house above where you want to place the wreath, measure the distance from the top of the gutter to the top of the wreath circle.

  2. Step 2

Take some clear monofilament fishing line and measure about 8 inches more of the line than the distance you calculated above.

  3. Step 3

After carefully positioning a ladder, climb up to the gutter & work the monofilament fish line end BEHIND the top of the gutter and forward slightly. Tie that end to the spreader bar of the gutter or the ferrel that holds the gutter to the eaves.

Carefully climb down off the ladder and tie the other end of the line around the top of the hoop of the wreath. Position for height, tie a knot and clip off excess line.

You're done! No one will see the fish line and you did not have to damage the siding.

Tips & Warnings
  • Position ladder carefully before climbing. Make sure both legs of the ladder are on level and solid, not soft ground.
  • It's best to have someone hold the ladder as a human brace while climbing. Safety first.
