Relieve Your IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)

Are you suffering from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)? Here are some easy ways I found to relive my symptoms.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Pro-Biotics. You have good and bad bacteria in your stomach. If you have more bad than good this will trigger your IBS. I have found a capsule at GNC that greatly reduces my symptoms. Pro-Biotics can also be found in yogurt, kefir, and buttermilk.

  2. Step 2

Frosted Mini-Wheats. My ceral of choice with a decent amount of fiber in it and is reasonably healthy is frosted mini-wheats. I have found eating a bowl in the morning or even when I feel something coming on seems to relive my symptoms.

  3. Step 3

Reduce Stress. Stress is one of the main causes of IBS. I have found taking a warm bath or even just laying down seems to help me relax. Some may find that meditation will help them relive their stress.

  4. Step 4

Go to the Doctor. I went to the doctor because I had a history of Chron's disease in my family. I also found out from asking other family members if they suffer from similar symptoms and there are quite a few that do. I had a colonoscopy done and it was no big deal.

Tips & Warnings
  • I suggest you see a doctor to rule out any other major causes for your discomfort.
