Invitations: Personalized invitations are always nice for a tea party. Use colorful construction paper as a background for printed invitations (you can print them on a computer), layering one smaller square of construction paper within a larger square for a beautiful look.

Place settings: Make sure your table is beautifully set for your tea party. Flowers in the center of the table, full place settings with tea mugs in the center of each plate, and cloth napkins. Napkins can be made more colorful by tying with colored string.

Decorations: Decorate in the theme of the party. For example, if it is a baby shower, use string and clothespins to hang a line of baby clothes across one wall. Or for a bridal shower use the same thing to hang big pictures of the couple.

Favors: Colored sugar cubes are a great favor for tea parties. Use a couple drops of food coloring per half cup of sugar. Mix well, and press into small cookie cutters to make colored, shaped sugar cubes.
