How to Make Valentine's Day Gift Baskets

Valentine's Day comes around every year, and why not be prepared every time? Here are some ground rules to creating the perfect gift basket that will please and save money!

• cellophane shrink wrap or basket wrap

1. One of the first things one thinks about is love for Valentine's Day, and a basket is the perfect gift for a woman or a man. Great in any economy, showing love in one big basket is always the way to go. First, get a basket of your liking. This basket can be deep or small as this the end product is all up to you.

2. Next, think of the types of things that the person that you love enjoys and then, go and purchase those items such as chocolates, stuffed animals, jewelry, flowers, cologne, lotion and more. The gifts can even go as far as an ipod, mini dvd player and more. Gather these gifts together along with some shredded filler to line the bottom of the basket, and it is time to design.

3. With the gifts, arrange them atop the shredded paper filler to your liking. In general, place the largest item in the middle, then smaller items next. After that, the medium items along the edge. Once all of it is together, simply place the entire basket inside of the cellophane wrap or shrink wrap basket bags, and tie at the top. Place ribbon and a bow at the top, and you have a great Valentine's Day basket!
