How to Claim Unemployment Weekly Benefits Using A Computer

With the economy being as bad as it is. It has affected me a
great deal and I have recently lost my job. Millions of
people are loosing jobs every day, and are filing for
unemployment insurance. This can be done in different ways
you can do it over the telephone or you can do it with the
computer. I like doing it with a computer. I was told if
I did it from a phone I would need a land-line phone.
Not a cell phone or a cordless phone. Or you can report to
the Career center in person to claim your weekly benefits.

Instructions

1. You will need a computer and internet service.
   You will have to go to the your Department of Labor
   Website. And Scroll down until you find claim weekly
   benefits

2. 

   Enter your pin number, if you don't have a pin number at
   first, it will ask you for certain information (Social
   Security number) and tell you that after entering
   you can set up a pin number from there.

3. When the page displays, you will be asked question that
   you will have to answer YES or NO.

4. If you answer YES to the question, (have you worked
   any that week you are filing for), you will have to
   proceed to the next question and enter earnings
   for that week, you are allowed to earn just a
   certain amount to qualify for unemployment that
   week. If you made over the allowed amount you
   will be denied. Or your amount will be decreased.

5. If you answer NO and you have not worked or earned
   any amount of money you will skip the next couple
   of questions and proceed to the next step.

6. Finalizing the process and completing the certification,
   reading the statements at the bottom of the screen
   and select I agree.

7. 

   After your answers are confirmed you will be advised whether
   the weekly claim was processed or if you need to contact
   your Career Center (Unemployment Office).
