Things You'll Need:
- ideas
- $15-$25 (if you have more, great if not that's great too)
-
Step 1
You don't need to be rich to have a romantic evening with your guy/gal. Thoughtfulness is the best gift you can give. If you're running a tight budget, you can still do several things to sweep your honey off his/her feet!
-
Step 2
COOKING- this may seem like a cliche thing to do, but nothing beats a romantic dinner that YOU cooked yourself, from scratch. There are so many foods to choose from and a lot of the ingredients you most likely have already. Come up with an entree and a dessert idea and break down the recipe. Go through and see what you have and what you need to get. If you are only working with $20, substitute ingredients (dry herbs for fresh, etc.) This won't take away from all the effort and thought you put in for the one you love.
-
Step 3
COUPLE COUPONS - make up coupons for various activities; these can be adult activities such as a free massage on any weeknight or a coupon for a day at the zoo. It's a creative way to be sweet and show your love AND it guarantees you some relaxing time together during your busy schedules.
-
Step 4
A ROMANTIC GETAWAY - not the kind that costs $450 a night! Instead, wow your Valentine by taking them to the first place you had a date, or the place you had your first kiss. If this isn't possible due to geographic issues (you met in college in Peoria and now live in Providence), recreate your first date, rent the first movie you saw together. This is for the creative minded and it will impress your guy/gal.

on 2/10/2009 A trip to the gas station and my husband filling my tank with gas would be a romantic gesture to me...to each his own! C'est l'amour! 5*
