Removing candle wax from carpet doesn't have to be a daunting task. With just a few simple steps the candle wax can be removed, returning your carpet to a never happened condition.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • butter knife or spoon
  • vacuum cleaner
  • white cotton towel
  • iron
  • spray carpet cleaner
  • brush
  1. Step 1

First you need to carefully scape loose as much of the wax as you can with the back edge of a butter knife or spoon. Vacuum the area to remove as much wax as possible.

  2. Step 2

Dampen the cotton towel and place it over the wax. Set your iron on high and heat the towel over the wax for 10 seconds. the heat from the iron will draw the wax out of the carpet and into the towel.

  3. Step 3

Repeat step 2 until all the wax is removed, rewetting and reheating the towel as many times as needed.

  4. Step 4

Once all the wax is gone, treat the area with a spray carpet cleaner working it into the carpet with the brush. Allow the carpet to dry completely then vacuum to remove any discoloration left by the wax.
