Constipation is very painful and uncomfortable for anyone. We can avoid constipation and provide relief of constipation by eating the right foods. I prefer any alternative medicine as opposed to taking pharmaceutical medicine for me and my family. Alternative medicine is nature's way of healing and providing relief for body ailments.
The various causes of constipation are:
• Low fiber diet
• Low intake of fluids
• Some particular diseases like hyperacidity, diabetes, colitis, sluggish liver and tumors
• Weak abdominal muscles
• Holding back stools when in pressure
• Irregular meals
• Incomplete chewing of food
• High intake of refined foods

    Method #1 The first step to relieving and alleviating constipation is by improving your diet. According to recent studies by JAMA and other medical journals, your diet should be one that includes plenty of whole grain, vegetables, fruit and plenty of water.

    Method #2 to relieve constipation is by using fennel seed: Take some fennel seeds and add them to a glass full of warm water. Drink this water each night before going to bed. Fennel has properties in curing digestive problems. The regular use of fennel will normalize the working of the digestive system and heal the constipation problems. This is very useful and one of the good home remedies for constipation.

  3. Step 3
     

    Method #3: Epsom Salt

    Mix 1/4 teaspoon of Epsom salt to 1/2 a glass of water and drink. This is a good constipation remedy. Drink twice a day.

    Method #4: Olive Oil and Orange Juice. This is a hard one to tackle, speaking from experience. It doesn't taste that well, however it will produce a smooth move.Mix 1/2 cup olive oil with 1/2 cup orange juice and drink.

    Method #5: Guava and Fresh Juice. The Guava fruits are cultivated in many tropical and subtropical countries. They are considered "superfruits", rich in vitamins A and C. Daily intake of guava with empty stomach in the morning is highly beneficial. Carrot juice mixed with spinach juice gives immediate relief from constipation as well.

Tips & Warnings
  • Eat plenty of Figs, Dark Green Vegetables and plenty of water and fluids.
  • Increase intake of fluids
  • Chew food properly
  • Reduce or eliminate refined foods
  • Always consult your physician regarding your constipation issues.
