Build A Lasting Relationship With God
Build A Lasting Relationship With God

Do you understand your Heavenly Father? He would like for you to get to know Him. Start today and build a lasting through your praise!

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Determination
  • Desire
  • Holy Bible
  1. Step 1

To build a lasting relationship with God, you must praise and worship Him daily. By reading my other articles, it should be getting easier for you to praise God. The more you practice that better you become. A daily “Praiser” for the Lord! Amen.

It is God’s pleasure to see His children praise and worship Him (Philippians 2:13).

“[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.” – Philippians 2:13 Amplified Bible
You were pre-wired by God to praise and worship Him on a daily basis.
Do you think that it would be in your own strength? No! Then, God will energize you to praise Him.

God himself willing and working in you at what will give him the most pleasure – Praise & Worship! This is what we were created to do, and that is to fellowship with our creator.

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:24

In other words, God is a spiritual being, and the only way to worship Him is from your human spirit (inner man – the recreate one) and it must be out of your heart (spirit, your core being) in adoration to Him.

  2. Step 2

Let’s Read this verse in the Message Bible along with verse 23:
"It's who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That's the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration."

In verse 23 it caught my eyes, “Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth”. This is so true. If you do not know the truth of God’s Word, you will not worship Him!

The Father is looking for people who will just plainly and truthfully believe in Him and out of that belief, praise and worship Him.
If you can do that today, I encourage you to continue praising and worshipping Him. Learn more on this topic by purchasing books. The bible tells us to get understanding (Proverbs 3:13). So, I encourage you to do just that.

  3. Step 3

Let’s do a little practice in praising our Father God:

How about right now – Praise & Worship the Lord your God!
    Say this along with me-

I praise you Lord for blessing me with all your spiritual blessings.
I thank you for crowning me with your loving kindness and tender mercies.

And for satisfying my mouth, and restoring my soul, Lord.
    Your wonderful, OH Lord!

There is no one like you, oh God, and your abilities.
My Lord, I thank you for translating me from the kingdom of darkness into your marvelous light.

I praise you for your yokes are easy and your burdens are light.
    Hallelujah!

You are my refuge and my fortress, My God in you do I trust.

Wasn’t that exiting! I love it, and you will love it too as you begin to praise and worship Him. I have also written an article called “How to Be a Beginner Praiser for Christ”. It will encourage you to continue praising and worship your Lord and Savior. Thank Him! Adore Him!

  4. Step 4

Trust is a big issue? Without it you cannot please God. It will be hard to pray, praise, or worship someone who you do not have faith in. I can praise at any given second. Pray at all times. What about you? I could talk to you until I turn blue in the face, and you will not receive the goodness of God that is available to you. You must have a desire and a want too!

  5. Step 5

God is looking for His worshippers daily! His looking means a relationship with Him, just like He did with Adam and Eve in the beginning (Genesis 3:8).

Man felled from God’s presence, and departed into sin. This left us far away from Him, but Jesus came to restore our relationship with God. Hallelujah! Get to Know Him. He cares and loves you. That’s why He is always looking for you, me, and anyone who will call to Him in truth. I believe that is why you click on this article today. You want a genuine relationship with God, Right! I have written another message called “How to praise God with a Pure Heart”. Please read it when you have some time.

  6. Step 6

Study the Word of God, and begin to share yourself with Him through prayer, praise and worship. Your faith will grow, and develop a lasting love for your Heavenly Daddy. What a wonderful, loving Father you have in Him.

Tips & Warnings
  • When the praises goes up to heaven, the blessing of God comes down to all who have faith in Him.
  • A capacity for love that will transform all your relationships.
  • The magnificent purpose God has for your life.
  • Your new life of joy and peace as a child of the Best Father in the entire world.
  • God is a spirit and those who worship Him MUST worship in spirit and in truth!!

on 3/23/2009 I like that scripture, his yoke is easy and burden is light! It's actually harder to be of the world than to be a child of God! Great article. 5*
