Safe;
The first thing you must ask yourself is can your goal harm you in any way? For example, let's say you are over weight with a goal of losing your extra pounds and whipping your body in to shape. Well being in shape and maintaining a healthy weight is good right? The real question is how do you plan on doing this. If your goal includes starving yourself sick you need to rethink your goal plan because the one you have chose is not safe. -
Step 2
Specific;
Without a specific goal you won't get anywhere. All good goals are specific. That is, steps to achieve those goals have to very clear. For example when people was they want to "be happy" as a goal, it's not the goal they want to achieve but this goal is not specific. Being happy is obviously a positive thing but how to achieve this is the problem. -
Step 3
Support;
Ask yourself when setting a goal if you would be supported by friends and family with your decision. Sometimes in rare cases goals need to be done souly by one person and that one person ONLY. But most of the time support will aid you in reaching your goal. Share with your friends and family how to have decided to reach your goal and they can help you structure your plan to best fit your needs because these are the people who know you best. Also what is best for you. -
Step 4
Keep track of your time and track, use them to your advantage. This will help you succeed in meeting the goals you have set for yourself.
