-
Step 1
Find a quilt guild in your area by asking at local quilt shops, fabric shops or by searching online at www.quiltguilds.com.
-
Step 2
Determine which guild suits you best. Do you enjoy traditional quilting or is art quilting your focus? While some guilds encourage a range of quilting styles, others will have members that want to concentrate on one specific area.
-
Step 3
Feeling philanthropic? Find a quilt guild dedicated to making projects or raising funds for a charitable cause.
-
Step 4
Be prepared to pay dues. Typically, these dues are very low and are used to cover the costs of guild administration.
-
Step 5
Like most things, what you get out of a quilt guild will depend on what you put into it. Find a guild that meets at a convenient time for you so that you can attend meetings regularly. Offer your expertise to other members and they will do the same for you.

on 2/9/2009 I am the secretary of our quilt guild. It is an amazing group of people with skills that are not to be believed. I highly recommend joining one if for nothing else than to spend time with people with the same passion.
