Teddy Bear Birthday Party
Teddy Bear Birthday Party

Throwing a fabulous teddy bear birthday party is easy - and fun for everyone involved! Add this fun activity to your next teddy bear birthday party for even more fun!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Kids
  • Teddy Bears
  • teddy bear sized tshirts
  • fabric markers
  • cardboard
  1. Step 1

Invite the children attending your party and ask them each to bring their favorite teddy bear along!

  2. Step 2

When it's time in the party to do activities, seat the children at a covered dining room table and give each child a blank white animal sized t-shirt with a piece of cardboard inside to stop the fabric markers from bleeding through.

  3. Step 3

Allow the children to draw, color and create on the t-shirt to their hearts desire with the fabric markers. Help them with any spelling they want to do of course! Offer tips on fun creative ideas for them but don't limit their own creativity. Encourage the kids to draw on BOTH sides of the t-shirts.

  4. Step 4

Allow the shirts to dry for a short time. Alternately you can run a very warm iron over them to heat set the ink but this is not mandatory. Help the children dress their teddy bears with their newly colored t-shirts.

  5. Step 5

Have a "fashion show" on the dining room table, showcasing each child's dress bear creation. Add music for added fun!

Tips & Warnings
  • cover your work table with a plastic tablecloth to avoid any marks from the fabric markers
  • have multiple markers in various colors so there's no bickering or having to wait a long time for the "pink" or "purple" marker.
  • Leave plenty of time for the kids to create and have some coloring sheets or other fabric for those who speed through their creation.
