Always ask the hotel sales person what dates will get you the best price. Hotels like when people are flexible with their dates. This allows them to put your group into a time that is ordinarily slow. The hotel should give you the best price during their slow dates.

The more guest rooms you have, the better the price you may be able to get. If you have 10 or more rooms per night, the hotel should be able to give you a discounted group rate.

If you have a lot of people attending your event, ask for one complimentry room for every 50 utilized. You might also ask for free meeting or banquet space in exchange for guaranteeing a certain number of people that will eat lunch or dinner in the meeting or banquet room.
