Heard about article marketing? Not sure if it's right for you? Read on to learn about article marketing and how even basic article marketing strategies can really help your online business take off!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet connection
  • Article directory memberships
  • Some basic SEO knowledge
  • Article Marketing Services (optional)
  1. Step 1

First, learn about the basics of article marketing. Article marketing is the process of writing articles and getting them distributed around online article directories, in order to collect back links to your blog or website. These back links are what help a site rank high in Google or the other search engines.

  2. Step 2

Open accounts at the major article directories. It's best to use the same user name and password, in case you decide on using an article marketing service later. Some of the major directories include Buzzle, Ezinearticles, GoArticles, Article City, and others. Look around online for lists of favorite article directories.

  3. Step 3

Most article directories allow for two links to your websites of blogs in your "About the Author" text. Use both, and keyword anchor your links.

  4. Step 4

Send the article, with links included, to the various article markets in order to gather back links to your websites, as well as some traffic and publicity. That's all there is to article marketing!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to hit the top 10 or so article directories for sure. This will almost certainly get you indexed in the major search engines and give you more bang for your buck.
  • Keyword anchor your links to give yourself a boost in the search engine results
  • Don't expect overnight success, especially in a competitive field. This takes time to do.
