Valentine's Day is a day brimming with pressure to be one of the happily coupled, but do not despair if this is not the case. There are plenty of ways to be single and fabulous and have a fun, stress-free Valentine's Day.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • friends
  • movies
  • good food
  • wine or beverage of choice
  • bubble bath
  • good book
  1. Step 1

Rally the troops! Valentine's Day is much more palatable when filled with good friends and good wine (or sparkling cider if you do not drink). Get your single girlfriends together and make some fun plans. Go shopping, to a movie, get mani-pedi's, make dinner. Laughter and good company are by far the best medicine.

  2. Step 2

If you do not have close single girlfriends, then it is time to think about what solo activity makes you happy. Rent some funny chick-flicks, curl up with a good book, or take a bubble bath. Make yourself a nice dinner or get some good carry-out. The key is to pamper yourself! You don't need someone else to make you feel special!

  3. Step 3

Don't take it too seriously. Valentine's Day is not all it's cracked up to be. Eat some chocolate if you want but remember to keep a good positive attitude regarding the day. It is only a day! It's not that big of a deal! Be positive! Think about all the good things in your life ... write them in your journal. This will help you to remain happy and grounded.

  4. Step 4

Get outside. Do some yoga or go for a walk. Give yourself some space to breathe and enjoy the little things around you. Remember, you are single and fabulous!
