How to Exchange Your Coins
Sometimes it feels like you just can't get rid of those pesky coins in your pocket. But before you leave a penny that you dropped on the ground, consider how much you can save.
Get rid of your change, but in a good way.

First, start a mini-bank at home for your change. It can be a jar or a piggy bank. I have a little bowl as soon as I walk into my house where I throw my change and 1-dollar bills at the end of the day. In around a month, I usually save over $100.00!

Once you have filled your jar, you must exchange the coins for cold, hard cash! You can do this by going to your closest bank - most banks have a coin-exchange machine, and do not charge you anything for the exchange! You usually do not need a bank account to exchange your money - I personally go to TD Bank to do the exchange. It's quick and easy. You can walk out in 5 minutes with a wad of cash.

If, for whatever reason, you have trouble getting to a bank, or it is just inconvenient, you can exchange your coins at Coin-Star Machines. You can usually find these somewhere around the entrance to most large grocery stores. I have one at my local ShopRite. It is essentially the same machine as the one at the bank, but it will cost you! It charges you something like 7 cents out of every dollar for the exchange, which is quite a lot if you ask me. I wouldn't recommend this, but if it must be done, so be it!

Now spend your money! Or start saving for something - probably the wiser thing to do :)
