Lose Ten Pounds Without Sweating
Lose Ten Pounds Without Sweating

Let's admit it. The vast majority of us could use a little trimming around our waistline. The thing of it is that while exercising is really one of the only true ways to maintain a consistent flow of weight loss, there are some things you can do right now in order to knock off about 10 pounds without sweating. I have tried this and it has worked for me, but it is usually only good for up to 10 pounds. Drug free. Read on...

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You'll Need:

  • Motivation
  • Water
  • Fruit
  • Vegetables
  • The ability to eat 6 times a day.
  1. Step 1
    So very bad for you

    So very bad for you

Not that you are overweight, but even if you aren't these helpful tips can still help you feel better and feel a lot more alive and healthy. Who does not want that? First thing to do is, if you are a soda drinker, put the soda down. Soda is so bad for you, you just do not realize how bad that stuff is for you. It is composed of caffiene (most of them are) sugar, sugar, and more sugar.... and several other chemicals that we could very much do without. Once you put down the soda, (especially if you are a chronic soda drinker) you will notice that you will drop at least 2 pounds right off the bat.

  2. Step 2
Yes, they are delicious but very fattening.

Yes, they are delicious but very fattening.

Lay off the sweets! I am not saying completely stop, but when it is an everyday thing and you are still wondering why you cannot lose weight, then ... well.. I believe I have said enough. Once a week, reward yourself for not giving into your sugar habit by eating a sweet or two on one day of the week. Just do not let it turn into an everyday thing.. that is when you start gaining.

  3. Step 3

Once you get a sugar craving, go ahead and give in to some fruit! It will leave you more satisfied and you wont crash after you have eaten it. Fruits are also high in fiber, a key to maintaining weight loss. Just get in the habit of replacing a bag of chips with an apple, a candy bar with an orange, and so forth. (Did you also know that fruit cuts your cancer risk in half?) Now, that may not be easy at first, but anything if you can pull it off for at least 5 days, you are more than likely to make it a habit.

  4. Step 4
Water.. we cannot LIVE without it so drink up!

Water.. we cannot LIVE without it so drink up!

Forget the soda, the sweet tea, and the artificial juice drinks and stock up on some water. Water helps the body get rid of toxins and fat. If you drink water every time that you are thirsty instead of something high in fat and sugar, along with replacing your sugar cravings with fruit, you are definitely going to see some real changes over time. We cannot live without water, but remember that too much can be dangerous, so just drink it in moderation. I personally usually do not go over 4 bottles a day, but that is just me. Every BODY is different. Here is to your health!

  5. Step 5
    It is common sense really

    It is common sense really

If we could all just do ourselves a favor and follow the food pyramid, we would be just fine. Eating 4-6 times a day can aide a lot in helping you lose weight. People get me how they just "skip" meals, those same people are always the ones putting the weight right back on sometimes more than what they had to begin with. When I say eating six times a day, I am talking about 3 meals and 3 healthy snacks to keep your hunger at bay. Here is an example of an easy menu to follow:
7:00 a.m.: Glass of orange juice, one serving size bowl of FiberOne cereal with nonfat milk (you got to watch that milk too! Yikes! That stuff can be really fattening so make sure you drink nonfat milk) with a handful of blueberries.
    9:00 a.m.: An apple
12:00 p.m.: Chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat bread with a bottle of water and a pickle.
2:00 p.m. : Some choice of fruit or a healthy shake.
5:00 p.m. : Turkey salad with tons of vegetables, lowfat dressing, and water.
8:00 p.m. : Healthy shake or fruit. *keep in mind that this time is up to you, many people prefer not to eat after 5 or 6 p.m.

Those are just some examples, but you get the idea. Good luck and that should help you to lose those extra couple of pounds!

Tips & Warnings
  • Stay away from sugar first and foremost. Fruit is a much healthier substitute.
  • Pay attention to your daily sugar intake, I bet that if you step back and look, you will see that most of everything you eat is sugar... that is why we are all so overweight.
  • Keep a bottle of water with you all of the time. It trims cravings.
  • If it is not in your home, chances are that you will not eat it.
  • Be sure to check with your doctor before making changes in your health regimen especially if you already have health problems.
