Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A PPC account
  1. Step 1

Search listings with PPC search results are actually paid advertisements. This type of search result is listed under the headings "sponsored listings" or "featured listings" they are usually text, image or video ads that are the result the target keywords in the web search. The PPC ads can be place in several locations on the web page top, bottom, along the sides.
If you are selling a product or want traffic to your website, you can sign up for a PPC program .You then can describe the product or service that you are trying to sell.

  2. Step 2

When you are setting up the PPC program, you can decide which keywords/phrases you wish to bid on and how much you are willing to pay for each click. The higher you bid on keywords the higher it is place in the search results. Google Adwords is a great way to advertise but you must be careful because the bidding can get very high for certain keywords.Yahoo which bought Overture also has the same PPC advertising along with MSN AdCenter. There are many other pay per click or pay per impression sites on the web such as Kanoodle.
The growth of the internet has created a very large market for PPC advertising and the major search engines make a huge income from the product.
Pay Per Click advertising is very valuable especially if you have a product to sell and want buyers to find you.Since it takes time to get a website ranked high in the search engines this is a good way to start out.

  3. Step 3

Webmasters can now have their products on the first page of the search results, you need to keep a eye on the bidding to make sure you get on the first page. There are many sites that can provide you with key word results which shows what people are searching for in your category.Your campaigns can be turned on and off depending on your budget and your results in sales that have come from your PPC advertising. Webmasters can target geographical areas and exclude other markets more accurately for search on certain key word phrases. You can set your PPC campaign to show results just in certain countries or age groups. There are many options available to change your PPC settings.
You can have your campaign set to land on a certain page such as the buy page for your product or a information page.
PPC has become both more popular and more successful today then any other paid form of advertising to get traffic to your products.

on 4/20/2009 Good tips. I remember when I started PPC my CTR was real low, then I bought a book on it and my CTR went through the roof. It's all about keywords. Do some research like the author described in step 2 and you'll see some great results.
