Things You'll Need:
- an abundance of magazine subscription cards
- various items per tip/advice/idea
-
Step 1
Keep a stash of magazine subscription cards in your night stand or desk drawer. When you are reading a book use one for an inexpensive bookmark.
-
Step 2
Use them for teaching tools with grade K-1. Kids can practice their handwriting and practice writing their home address and phone number. By writing their important information down, repeatedly, they will remember it more quickly.
-
Step 3
Add them to your kids "rainy day" craft box. They can be used to place underneath small items that are being glued or painted. Kids can come up with creative art uses for them.
-
Step 4
Save them for when your younger kids are in a boredom streak. They can play house, mailman, and have fun with them. They can write notes to Mom and Dad. Give them junk mail envelopes so they can place their cards in them to play with and write on also.
-
Step 5
Fill a zipper plastic bag with them. Store your filled bag in your camping supplies. Use them as kindling when starting your fire at campgrounds.
-
Step 6
Shred them and place in a large garage bag. When it's full take them to a recycling center that takes bagged shredded paper. Call or visit a recycling center near you to inquire what they will take.
