How to Put a Picture in Your Email Signature

You can use Microsoft Outlook 2010 to insert a photo as an element in your email signature. Outlook includes a "Signature" button in the "Include" group. The "Signatures and Stationery" window pairs the electronic ID with the picture file. You can customize your signature with various formatting options, such as font, size and color.

      Launch Outlook and click the "New Email" button in the Command Ribbon. A message box opens.

Tips & Warnings

  • To insert the signature on a new email message, click the "Message" tab and click the "Signature" button in the "Include" group. Click the name of the signature for insertion. Only one signature can appear in an email message.

  • Other email programs feature options that allow you to create and edit the electronic signatures.

  • The picture file should be small. A picture-editing program can re-size the file to fit with an email signature.
