Closets can get out of control, especially in a child's room. If their clothes and toys do not have certain places they will throw them anywhere.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first thing you have to do is empty the closet. Start from the floor up. If your closet is large enough add shelves for shoes. If not, arrange them neatly on the floor. Put storage bins in the floor for toys. That way the child can still throw their toys on the floor, but they will be in something.

  2. Step 2

Next, organize your child's clothes. Hang the shirts in one area and pants in another. You can also separate seasonal clothes so they will be easier to find. Put the clothes that are the child's favorite in the middle so the child will not have to hunt for them.

  3. Step 3

Remember, it is a child's closet. Do not organize it like your closet. Keep it kid friendly and encourage your child to keep it clean.
